INTRODUCING EDDY ANEMIAN | WINNER OF THE H&M DESIGN AWARD

Eddy Anemian has been crowned the winner of H&M's global Design Award prize - an accolade that saw the fourth year fashion studies student at La Cambre in Brussels triumph over eight other semi-finalists from top-tier fashion schools.

The prize sees Anemian walk away with a cash injection of €50,000. The Swedish retailer will also be developing pieces from the collection to be sold in stores this autumn in at least 12 countries under the creative mentorship from Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's creative head of design.
Speaking of the retailer's decision, Ann-Sofie Johansson told WWD: "All of the judges fell in love with Eddy's collection, both the romance of how it looks when it is worn and the extraordinary skill of his work seen up close." She added: "He is a worthy winner, and a bright new star for fashion's future."

The burgeoning talent also had to win over a fashion jury made up of highly-respected fashion figures that included London Fashion Week designer Erdem; Vogue's Serena Hood and actress Michelle Dockery - who chose Anemian's floral collection over prospective talent from thirty-two schools across Europe and America.
