THE CLOSET | COVETEUR INTERVIEWED SALLY LYNDLEY

As the token Canadians in any room, we're suckers for anyone who actually plays by the maxim, 'work hard and be nice to people'. We're of course all for laying down the law as needed and resent the idea that women should have to err on the right side of authoritative should their assertiveness be mistaken as bitchiness. But it warms our sparkle emoji hearts to see someone authentically and genuinely nice make it in a major way. And when that someone is stylist Sally Lyndley, well, how could it not?
Throwing open the door to her Venice apartment bright and early one Saturday morning, clad in a sweeping floor-length kimono (the very one you see here), Lyndley welcomed us in with open arms, her dog bounding along by her side. After ushering us in and saying our hello's, Lyndley bounced around her bedroom, unveiling piece after historied piece from her crammed closet, before springing up three flights of stairs to shoot on her rooftop. Fresh off of styling and shooting Rihanna's recent series of WKorea covers (yup, as in multiple. Four covers in four insane hours in L.A.'s Chinatown), we gossiped as she touched up her makeup in between looks. That full-length, denim jumpsuit, not unlike that of a sexy car mechanic's totally required a slick of almost black lipstick—hello, Rih's influence. Via Coveteur.com
